ELA Unit 6 Test: Year-End ELA Celebration & Assessment
Directions for the grown-up
You may read the directions for every section aloud. In Literature & Informational Text, you may read the questions and answer choices aloud, but not the two texts: your child reads them on their own. In Phonics & Fluency, read only the directions. Do not read the words in the items. For the last item, your child reads part of "Arlo and the Moon" aloud to you; count errors quietly and do not correct them unless your child is stuck for more than three seconds. In Language & Vocabulary, read only the directions. Do not read the sentences in the items. In Writing, read the three choices aloud and let your child pick one. Do not spell words for them. This test is long, so a break after Writing is a good idea.
